My Local News is proud to name longtime local journalist Nancy Puffer as its new Executive Editor, a strategic move to boost the quality, quantity and value of the online news offered by the My Local News in communities throughout the state of Arizona.
Nancy is an award-winning journalist who comes to My Local News with over 27 years of experience in television, print and online journalism, having worked previously for KPNX-TV 12 News, Fox 10 News at KSAZ-TV, and as a contributor to various print and online media outlets such as The Arizona Republic/azcentral.com and The East Valley Tribune. She’s been recognized for outstanding journalism, feature news writing and public service projects by a handful of news organizations, including the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Associated Press, and the Gannett Company. She holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Arizona State University.
“My Local News is in a very exciting growth phase right now and I believe it is poised to become the go-to source in community news,” said Puffer. “The reason I chose to partner with My Local News is simple; I find it very frustrating to open up the community sections from other local news sources and find that 90% of the content has absolutely nothing to do with that community. By combining my journalism expertise with the business acumen of My Local News founder, Joseph Lewis, we hope to strengthen and improve the focus on local community news and empower community members throughout the state of Arizona to both contribute to and engage with a news source that reflects what’s important to them and what they truly care about.”
My Local News is a free, online community news site delivering news and real estate information to 19 communities throughout the state of Arizona, with 9 more coming online soon. For more information, visit https://mylocalnews.us/. Nancy can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
